Tournament ranking system is divided into State, Southern and National rankings. Stronger players should concentrate on southern and national rankings. The majority of players will be working on state points first and then try to gain southern points. Within each division there are 5 levels; Level 5 is the lowest and Level 1 the highest. The lower the level number, the more points are awarded for each match win.
Academy level players are advised to start in state Level 5 tournaments; then after some match wins in this level you may try playing Level 4 events.
Georgia Advanced players should play Level 4 and above tournaments. If you do well in these, then attempt playing in higher level tournaments such as Levels 1, 2 or 3. We recommend you look for tournaments that give you good southern ranking points as these are used for entry to bigger competitions. Many higher level state tournaments give you southern points. Please note that some Level 2 state tournaments may be weaker than state Level 3 tournaments if the Level 3 has more Southern ranking points attached to it, making it important to check the Southern level. These higher level southern tournaments will be strong, so we advise our Southern Select and Elite players to participate in these events.
