Windward players win sportsmanship awards.

After a round of National Opens in the area, two Windward players picked up awards for sportsmanship. Whitney Kay won the award at the Girls 14’s National Open in Macon and Kate Fuller won the Girls 16’s in Marietta.

With so much written on the success these two girls have had, the Windward staff would like to congratulate them for setting such a high standard of behavior and fairness. The girls did very well on the competitive side as well. Whitney won the event and Kate made the semi finals of the consolation.

It’s easy to overlook these kind of accomplishments, but we feel that it is so important for our top players to be good role models for other academy members.
