Windward League at Creekstone Estates Tennis Courts Week 1 Off we go! Our Fall 09 Season finally got off the ground! The teams’ names are The Rogers, coached by Arturo, and the Rafas, coached by Staton. Everybody was full of energy and eager to get things going. The Rafas came out swinging and took the lead on every court. The Rogers fought back but came up short in two courts by only one game! At the end of the day it was all Rafas, leaving The Rogers with a lot of work to do. The scores were as follows:
Thanks to all participants and their parents! Be ready to come
and play! Week 2: October 4th – 3-5pm. Week 2 The 2nd week of our Fall 09 Windward Tennis League was a great
one. The weather tried to spoil the play, but we go lucky enough
to play through a few sprinkles. Both teams didn’t want to stop
playing and stayed on the courts fighting it out! The Rafas came
again very strong during doubles play and took control most the
courts. The Rogers put up a strong fight all the way to the end.
Way to go teams! At the end of the day, The Rafas were a little
bit stronger and took 4 out 5 courts. Score were as follows
The overall score for the 1st two weeks is Rafas 9 Rogers 1.
The Rafas have a pretty good lead, but The Rogers have a fighting
spirit! Week 3: October 11th – 3-5pm. Week 3 What great weather we had! Very sunny and not too hot, were the
perfect conditions for our 3rd week of play. The Rogers keep improving
each week and it showed on the courts! But The Rafas just keep
finding ways to win! Way to go teams! Great tennis from both teams!
At the end The Rafas just had a little bit more in them edging
the Rogers 3-2 for the week. The scores were as follows:
After three weeks the overall score is Rafas 12 – Rogers 3. Three more weeks to go! They will be very interesting! Come and support your team! Week 4 October 18th – 3-5pm.
